Other Ways To Donate
By becoming a monthly donor, you can increase the value of your gift by helping reduce printing and mailing costs, ensuring that more of your gift goes directly to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
With automatic deductions from your credit card, debit card or checking account, you can make one monthly gift today without further action and know your charitable giving is in place for the entire year. If your situation changes for any reason, you can always update or cancel your gift.
In Honor Of
Honorarium gifts are a meaningful way to pay tribute to family, friends, and loved ones. They typically recognize a special occasion (birthday, holiday, anniversary, retirement, etc.), or can recognize the honoree’s importance in a donor’s life. Any type of gift can be designated as an honorary gift. SPC will recognize both the donor and the honoree in communications.
In Memory Of
Memorial gifts are a special way to honor a friend or loved one who has passed away. Any type of gift can be designated as a memorial gift. SPC will recognize the donor’s loved one in communications.

Donate by Stock, Bond, or Mutual Fund
By donating stocks, bonds or mutual funds, you can help protect the Parks while receiving tax advantages. When you transfer ownership of stock, you receive a charitable tax deduction for its full market value and incur no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits) on shares held for at least one year.
To make a stock gift, please contact Tamara Marks, Director of Philanthropy, at 970-485-0391 or firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may properly track and acknowledge your gift.
If you own stock that is worth less now than when you bought it, it may be advantageous to sell the stock, take a capital loss on your tax return, and donate the proceeds to SPC. Consult yourfinancial advisor first about the potential tax benefits.
Some donors choose to make their charitable gifts through donor advised funds, which allow them to give to their fund and then distribute donations at a later date. SPC gratefully accepts donations from donor-advised funds.
Want to make a big gift to SPC without touching your bank account? Consider giving us real estate. When you donate appreciated property you have held longer than oneyear, you qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction. This eliminates capital gains tax and you no longer have to deal with that property’s maintenance costs, property taxes or insurance.
