The Official nonprofit partner

Sequoia Parks Conservancy is the official nonprofit partner of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park and Lake Kaweah.

Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National Park is the second National Park ever created. It is a landscape of extremes, containing the highest point in the contiguous United States, Mt. Whitney, at 14,494’, and the largest living tree (by volume) on Earth, the General Sherman.

Kings Canyon National Park

Originally established as General Grant National Park, Kings Canyon protects a glacier-carved valley more than a mile deep, the deepest canyon in the United States. It is home to the General Grant Tree, dedicated as the Nation’s Christmas Tree by President Calvin Coolidge in 1926.

Lake Kaweah and Terminus Dam

Situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Lake Kaweah serves as a vital window to the high peaks of Sequoia National Park. As the official partner to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, we support the Kaweah Heritage Visitor Center, where we share the story of this working landscape. From providing diverse recreation to generating clean energy that saves over 67,000 barrels of oil annually, Lake Kaweah is a crucial link in our regional ecosystem.
