Full Moon on Moro Rock

Moro rock is a popular destination for visitors to watch the sunset. However, not many realize that once a month the sunset coincides with the rising of the full moon!

Enjoy a night spent in awe of our closest celestial neighbor and only natural satellite. Your naturalist guide will share moon stories and moon science during the program, all held atop Moro Rock.

Meet at the top of the Moro Rock staircase for this program. Be aware this is a 15-minute walk from the parking lot. We recommend that visitors on this program are physically able to climb the long staircase to the top of the Moro Rock – about 400 stairs; visitors may also want to bring a flashlight and jacket.
