Night Sky Telescope Experience
Experience the Wonders of the Universe Under the Dark Skies of Sequoia National Park
Experience the wonders of the universe under the dark skies of Sequoia National Park with expert astronomers and experienced night-sky guides from the Sequoia Parks Conservancy. This intimate stargazing adventure offers guests the chance to explore the cosmos while learning about the stars, planets, and deep-sky wonders visible above the Sierra Nevada.
During this two-hour program, participants will view the night sky in two different ways. One is naked eye viewing of the entire night sky, while the other is a digital telescope calibrated to view galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters in vivid detail on an iPad screen. Depending on the season, guests may also observe planets and other celestial objects not visible to the naked eye.
